I’ve had people tell me that inspections are only good for two things: slowing down the pace of a project, and keeping city employees busy. Well, these comments couldn’t be further from the truth. Believe me, I’m happy to have the inspectors check out my work. Their job is to understand and be current on the building and mechanical codes. All I can say is that I want an inspector to catch a problem that might damage my house or injure my family.
